| | Andy Taylor - The Times apology « Thread Started on May 3, 2008, 11:47am » | |
In The Times newspaper today on page 4 they pring the following apology to Andy Taylor.
An interview with Duran Duran ("The band plays on", Magazine, November 3, 2007), referring to Andy Taylor's departure from the band, said that he failed to turn up for a recording session in New York and had "quit" the band. Andy Taylor did not walk out on the band - the Duran Duran partnership was dissolved by the other members. Andy Taylor's departure from the band is the subject of continuing legal proceedings, but we wish to make clear that he did not quit or walk out but was unable to get a US working visa to attend the New York recording session due to administrative failures by the band's management. We apologise and are happy to correct the record.

Well this just makes more interesting and confusing - if that's the case, and he was gonna work with the band and those timberflags but Duran Duran dissolved his presence from the band - then all I can say is fuck you Roger, SImon, John and Nick
And stopin fuckin telling us that he did not show up cause you couldn't reach him or didn't know where he was in the world.

Andy ... left ... because ... he didn't want to work OR didnt show up for work ... because ... his (ummmm) artistic mind didnt want to head towards Timberland and Timberlake ... furthermore ... Reportage not being released and being denied by the label probably made him angered.
No way would John, Simon, Nick, or Roger kick Andy out ... unless something wasnt working out and they had to ... to continue moving on -> Red Carpet Massacre.
In the 80's, problems occured (dont know what), but also Andy was heading towards a solo career where he would do his own art ... his way.
And never say fcku Nick, Simon, John, or Roger ... because then you should just shut the hell up and get off this message board ... because your not a Duran Duran fan.
Yeah!

That's a big load of bollocks.
Yeah right...the other guys kicked out Andy out because an admin error by their management prevented him from getting a visa.
And if the Times made this error in November, why are they printing an apology now? If it was true, the error would have been jumped upon when the original article (and the countless others that appeared in other publications, which said the same thing) was printed. If something is a blatant lie, people don't tend to let it stand for six months.
There are about half a dozen other holes in this story too, but there isn't enough space in this little box to list them.
Nonsense.
