Why is this thing being planned for the dead of winter? lol.. Although I am still thinking of braving the cold and making it.

If I remember correctly from 2006, it was planned for mid-January because that was a time Duran Duran was less likely to be touring, thus allowing lots more folks to participate.

Oddly enough, the couple of days preceding the event were quite temperate. The snow started coming down in the wee hours, when I made my drunken way back to my hotel. You are not thinking of making it, sweetheart--you are going. Or else.

Well, I grew up in Montreal, where it's insanely cold in winter, so I am sure I can take it. I was just wondering. The touring thing makes sense. Although Duran have most often come here in TO during the bloody cold of winter. And I recall first time I met them back in 1984, waiting outside the Four Seasons in Montreal and it was the bloody coldest day I can ever recall in my life. Denis O'Regan read something I posted about that day once on the old site and pm'ed me saying he remembers how brutally cold it was that day as he was snapping shots outside of Simon that day. It's one of the shots up for sale on his site.
So duran and freezing kind of go hand in hand for me, lol..
