Hi All!
Here is the bulletin I just put out on MySpace (www.myspace.com/sbs2008...if you haven't already friended us).
We're working on getting all of the information to everyone via a website and other stuff, but one-by-one all of us are slowly becoming employed and getting responsibility and stuff. Crazy that! We just want to let you know that we have ahd the venue locked on since last January and the date is definitely January 12th, so anyone holding off for any announcement to book their tickets need wait no more!

Hi Everyone,
I know that many, many people have been waiting for an update on SBS 2008! We (the SBS/NYC Planning Crew) truly appreciate your patience. We've been looking at the best options that make it affordable for everyone to attend while giving everyone the most bang for their American bucks (you european-folk are gonna get to have matching monies!). We have Mo Pitkin's as our definite venue, but have been looking for something that might work a little better in hopes of attracting many, many more people.
In the coming weeks, we're planning on rolling out all of the specifics, includng:
-- A spiffy website where you can see everything from the event specifics to hotel options to our sponsors (sponsors?!?!?) to purchasing the tickets
-- The details on the venue and how we might be able to get that to change!
-- Travel tips and "What to do in NYC" information
-- and a whole bunch of other things
I know several people have been holding off with their initial planning until things are "officially announced," however I say that I "officially announced" it last January! LOL
Here are the known details that will happen, so feel free to book your trip! We have the space and everything is guaranteed. If for some reason, there are changes in venue, it won't effect details like the date or the money. We'll only make changes that work within our parameters.
Date: January 12th, 2008
Time: 6 pm (screening), 7:30 pm (party)
Approximate Cost: $45/55 (includes food, favors, and a myriad of other items)
How is this evening different than SBS 2006? First, we have live entertainment for your enjoyment! Next, we'll have more food -- appetizers will be passed around the joint. We'll probably still have some pizza delivered, but at a more staggered rate to ensure hot freshness (and don't we all prefer hot-freshness?). And most importantly, we'll have the run of the house -- yep, the entire venue is ours. The last time, we had the small room upstairs and trickled down to the bar. This time, we'll have 4 huge spaces to take over all night.
I am hoping to have close to 200 (maybe more?) of my favorite Duranie's at this little shin-dig. The last one was thrown together in less than 6-weeks (with the grand help of Stuporfly and a few other generous souls). This one will have had a year to stew. And although I would have preferred to wait until 6-weeks before to plan it again, my whip-cracking team of planners ain't letting me! I think Mondaybox will beat me if I put anything else off. But I know they have all of you in mind -- especially those who are making major plans to join us.
So, please feel free to plan your trip with confidence!
If you have any questions on hotels and such, please let us know. We're working on getting some group rates and such, which should be posted with the rest of the website in a few weeks!
Happiness,
Sheila (and the rest of the planning crew!)
