The Hotel New Yorker is offering deal for winter for Jan. 2-31. Price of the rooms are for $139.00 a night in their newly renovated rooms. I stayed there for the Hammerstein show in June and I had no problem with the room or services offered. Just a FYI! ;D jemma:~) www.newyorkerhotel.com/index.html

I think that was one of the hotels the planning crew was in talks with for a special SBS rate that I'd imagine might be even better than that. Hopefully that info will be nailed down soon.

that is a better rate than we were quoted (though that rate had lapsed anyway) - go grab those rooms if you can. the new yorker is a fine place to stay - it is in south midtown, and near lots of subways ...

hmmm... so should I run off and snag a room, or wait for the official rate to be nailed down by the "committee"?

I went ahead and booked at the New Yorker - I figured I could always cancel if a better deal presented itself....
Not bad - $161. with all the taxes & fees and they have valet parking too ($30 a night)
