OMGZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JoSh tAyLoR!!!!!! It could be a rhythm player. Like during the solo. Red Hot Chili Peppers has one during Dani California I know, to play rhythm during John Frusicante's solo. Most likely a tech, but its a possibility. *what woulda been hiliarious, or freaky, would be if that was Andy back there* ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I think that guy does audio somewhat. Throughout the concert I saw Simon signal to him to go up or down. ... At one point I saw him say go up for more guitar. ...
On the other side there was another guy "guitar player" too, with long curly hair. LoL

OK, I have a question. Not being a musician, I don't know much about the technical side of things. Why do they change instruments so often? What are the differences in one of John's bass guitars vs another? Or Dom's guitars? I mean don't they basically play the same notes? Are there settings involved? Is it that one is preset to a certain sound and it is easier to just switch? I've always wondered about that.

It might have something to do with tuning, maybe the guitars go out of tune after they've been played a while? Or certain guitars sound better for certain songs?? Good question!

That is Dom's Guitar Tech. I am not sure of his name but he was singing along during the show.

Is it that one is preset to a certain sound and it is easier to just switch? I've always wondered about that. It usually has something to do with tuning. Most DD songs are standard tuning for Guitar: EADGBe and Bass:EADG, but some song have 1/2 step tuning, Guitar: EbAbDbGbBbeb and Bass:EbAbDbGb and so on... And too some guitars just have a better sound on some songs. John changes from a 4-string to a 5-string sometimes, such as Sunrise.
