i know you were all sat there worried about me - thinking "if only that poor boy had just one or two t-shirts in his collection then every issue faced would pale into insignificance"...
So, to put your minds at rest, these are on the way now -

No, they're definitely from back in the day - though i'll need to compare the label to my other blank backed shirt from the time; as i strongly suspect they will have reprinted the Rio one in 83-84 for sale in record stores.
(they're packaged to fit within the space that a 12"/album would need - & there used to be racks of shirts in Woolworths & HMV & Our Price & whatnot... & it's still the way that band shirts are sold in HMV)
[Edit]
So i wouldn't be surprised if the eye one is as original as it gets for that specific design & being first sold in 83-84 - whilst the Rio shirt is 100% official, but i would put money on it having been reprinted a year or two later than the 82 originals...
...& there were loads of other licensed shirts from other bands with the same Yo-Yo labelling; for example this Wham one -

Likewise, there were also other officially licensed Duran shirts - so i have one for The Reflex - which would almost certainly have been a new/original shirt design when it was being sold...
…but another that i bought along with it (though i cannot for the life of me think what it looks like), from recollection was an official reprint; with the original design being slightly earlier.
[End Edit]
Yeah, the seller's folks were friends with the Berrows in the 80s - &, along with holidaying with them, used to get bits of stuff to pass onto friends of the family... …& it's the same guy i got the signed MOW photo from a couple of years ago.
& this is the sticker -
