Ahh, yes, that' s where I saw the video actually, a friend in college had that tape. And I didn't realize MEET EL PRESIDENTE was on it!!!! I don't really pay much attention to the videotape stuff only though, have been able to get almost everything on at least laserdisc, if not DVD. Meet El Presidente video is on the NOTORIOUS remaster , so that is SWEET!! Pretty much puts all the vids on DVD now!
BUT, a little confused here... I don't remember seeing THREE TO GET READY as part of the NOTORIOUS re-issue, so why the last comment about not wanting the tape-to-dvd once NOTORIOUS is out?

Great! I was going to mention about the longer edit of Three to Get Ready that came out in Japan, which that release seems to have. It's a great documentary. My sister in Miami (I'm in NJ) is the keeper of all our Duran stuff, so I haven't seen it in years. But I remember it was significantly longer than the US VHS.

I don't think this video was ever released in Japan. The long versions was only available in US (too scarce to get a hold of) and Italy (too over-voiced to be good outside this country).

It was definitely not the US version we have. I thought it was Japan because they have a compatible VHS standard. Could it have been a Canadian release?

It was definitely not the US version we have. I thought it was Japan because they have a compatible VHS standard. Could it have been a Canadian release? There are 2 different US versions, one is a standard short version - 30 minutes long, the second one is a Limited Numbered 75-minutes VHS (as I said before, very very rare one). I have never heard of Canadian release for this particular title.

I am like 99% positive the long version we have is not US. I'll have to call my sister up and see if she can dig it up.
