Found a clip online earlier, one I'd never seen, of NR mucking around with his synths. It got me thinking about Ross from Friends...
Now watch Nick's version...

..It,s very curious and interesting how money can change the people... For example, when you,re paid for promoting something.... If you don,t know who the hell,s Mister Nick Rhodes, and you see this clip maybe you can think, for sure, you think: Ohh, what a easy-going guy!! he looks so nice and pleasant , so congenial, giving us this synth lesson... However, when you,re a DD fan for years, and you,ve got the chance to meet Mister Rhodes and you, politely ask him for a picture or a signing, then, niceness and sympathy dissapear and you,re ignored...

I found him to be exactly the opposite. Polite, charming and quite funny. Spent a few mins chatting even though there were other folks there. Everyone got a couple of mins.
Nice bloke.

I disagree--Nick is probably the nicest as well as Roger--I met Nick backstage and he was very cordial--took a bunch of pics and signed autographs--Simon lost his voice and hardly spoke to anyone and Warren was trying to hook up with a couple of blonde models--ah the good old days..I think Wes was nice too--RIP Wes...but those were the days--they played to a packed out show in Clarkston, MI during the Let It Flow tour--love that title--lol used to be called Pine Knob but known these days as DTE...DD forever! With or without Andy!

Nick has always been really friendly and outgoing in my experience. He's usually the last one to leave, making sure that all the fans have an autograph, etc. Sorry you had a bad experience.

I have to say, I've heard some very uncomfortable stories about every single other member of Duran Duran BESIDES Nick. I haven't ever heard one bad Nick story until this post...and that's after what, almost 30 years of being a fan? I've even heard some less-than-kind things about Roger (as of recent times), but never once with Nick.
I can only think that maybe this fan caught him at an extremely stressful moment or something, you know?
