Has the single been sent to the radio stations? I want to be sure of that first...
Mine has always gotten new DD singles but I'm not sure how this iTunes only thing will play out on radio.

Sorry maybe there has been a misunderstanding.. it is best if every radio station link get s posted here on the board so that we are going to request the song...
also i am referring not only to the radio stations one is used to listen to and that are more likely to play the song but to any radio station!! with hundreds of request even the most skeptical radio stations will definitely play the song .. ciao a tutti a

By submitting multiple requests repeatedly they will have no other choice but to get it and play it! a

I'd like to add, DJs absolutely HATE it when fans spam their radio station requesting a song. Especially when it's obvious that the requester isn't from that area (which DJs can tell by the area code in their caller ID).
If and when the single becomes available to radio stations, the best thing to do is request the song ONCE a day, from your local radio station(s).
By the way, "submitting multiple requests repeatedly" does not guarantee airplay. What it DOES guarantee is that it will totally p*ss off the DJ, and he/she might refuse to play the song as a result. DJs aren't dumb, they can tell when a song is genuinely popular, and when it's being requested over and over by the same BSC fans. They don't like it. I know of DJs who have refused to play a particular song because they got sick of crazy out-of-state fans bombarding them with requests.
And randal is right - the radio station can't play the song if they don't have it. Also, the DJ doesn't make up the playlist. The program director does. And what songs they play is usually decided by the station's parent company, as randal pointed out.
