Putting both the video and single up on iTunes on the same day would be very smart because they could make money on both. iTunes sometimes add videos if you buy the single, IMO the band should do this for the single release as an incentive for buying the stand alone single instead of waiting for it to be released on the album. Other than having the single early I can see no incentive to paying full price for something that you will have on the album. I'm hoping the album download from iTunes will include a digital booklet which when downloaded to your computer via iTunes allows for the cover art and booklet to be read as if you had the physical booklet. I notice that some albums have deluxe versione which feature many bonus tracks of for eg demo or alternate versions of album tracks and videos for a number of songs on the album. Some of there deluxe albums are little more or the same price as a regular album making them worth the price to download, whilst I don't use iTunes for my music downloads I can see the incentive IF fans are given something different from the physical release, fir eg videos and bonus tracks. I hope that AYNIN the album won't come with a £9.99 download price offering nothing more than the 9 tracks advertised. Despite being excited about listening to the new album, if this is the case I'll hang on till next year for the physical cd and look to download the album from other sources as I'm sure many others will do. Let's hope the band give those willing to buy the album via iTunes something special that only this medium can offer.

Hoping the surprise is a non-album B-side track

Given that they will be in NY, perhaps a leg of the surprise / promo will be an impromptu stop by Letterman to launch the single with a stripped-down performance....Nick on organ, Simon on harmonica, and Mark coming over from Brooklyn to lay down some beats;) While there may be more to come later in the month, this would otherwise be the first drop of a lead single / record that hasn't been accompanied by major late-nite promo.

i saw a post on dd.com that says the video will drop on dec 21st, the day of the album...
i think it'd be cool if it was up tomorrow but i know they're still checking the edits and making sure it's totally done and finalized to their satisfaction.
