I could find no difference between Ordinary World [David Leonard Mix] and one of the mixes found on the 4 on the Floor bootleg.

Don't have the source material by hand to compare but if I remember correctly none of the Foor on The Floor versions have live drums. Leonard's mix has. Even more : that version is more driven by the drums than the album version we all know that was mixed by Dave Richards.

Found something I have and that is not listed : Ordinary World (David Leonard Mix). I got this from a tape an Italian guy had, way back in 1993. He got that tape from Nick Rhodes. It was probably given to him when Leonard's mix was considered the final one : Very very interesting! Could we say then that the mixes by Steve MacMillion and Dee Long also count as commissioned, but unreleased!? Ordinary World [David Leonard Mix] Ordinary World [Steve MacMillion Mix] Ordinary World [Dee Long Mix] What do you think??? That's probably right but I don't have any more info than what<was mentioned in the article

I seem to remember that this was uploaded a few years ago, and I'm sure I compared with all the other versions and came to the conclusion that it was the same as the album version or the third 4 On The Floor version but with subtle EQ difference that I attributed from it being on an old tape. I could well be wrong, it would be good to compare them again. I do not have it either now. Are you able to dig this out again? I'd love to be proved wrong on this and get another version of this great song.

Great Work.
A few people have said that the so called genuine I Take The Dice demo is fake, though not as fake sounding as the one from the bogus Tiger demos album.
I have also been told the early demo snippets from the first album may be fake too.
What about The Medicine? I thought the original was supposed to be a DD song?
I also think there might be a vocal demo of I Believe but I will have to check.

What about The Medicine? I thought the original was supposed to be a DD song? I've never heard "The Medicine," (I missed the boat on that boot.) Is this a unique song, or one that became something else on Big Thing? (sorry if that's a very novice question!)

"The Medicine" is an alternate version (or possibly demo?) of what became "Follow in My Footsteps" for their collaboration with Jonathan Elias, for his album "Requiem For the Americas" in 1989. I don't think it was ever intended to be an official a DD song, more like a Simon solo track. Though most of the band members, if not all of DD, participated in other tracks on the same album.

nice work! one thing i see in the top red section: >> -:-- Jay <Simon Le Bon on vocals> i think this is actually a jam from a live show and not a song called 'jay' I attached this setlist from John's scrapbook: View AttachmentI always thought it was 'Jay' ... if you compare it with how John wrote the letters 'm' and 'y' in the word 'Amy' in the track 'Amy ago go' on this setlist than I still would like to think that is a track named 'Jay', but I of course could be wrong! Do you have something else what makes you think that is a 'jam'? Thanks for this! i have a scan of that i got from john for my LEGACY book and he told me that it is meant to say JAM and not jay. he was writing quickly and it's a bit sloppy. across the whole setlist you can see lots of letters that look all over the place. pretty much every M in that list looks different. as well, he could have been the unlucky one who had to write out 5 copies of that total. ;-)

I would like to think that they are, as to me they sound genuine and this discussion also gave me a 'confirmation' to believe in this. See here: duranduranboard.proboards.com/thread/29926/rarest-track-got#page=6How would you measure your 'source'? An yes please check if you have a vocal demo for I Believe!

I will delete it from that list!
