THE BIG announcement is that DD like to give out BIG announcements. I can hear Nick laughing right now. Yep, the super funksters of Pop are selling out US movie theatres. C'est la vie. Do you really think they will be selling out the movie theatres....I seriously doubt it... Maybe that some Lynch fans will turn up but apart from DD fans I don't think the general public will have much interest in this.

With the sound all f** up ! Playing at the wrong (too fast) speed ! I wonder if this error will be on the worldwide release... So let me get my head around this. They release a DVD where you CAN'T disable that ridiculous animation crap and simply watch a great concert. Then to add insult to injury the only decent thing about the DVD, the audio, is broken to boot??? So now you can't even buy the DVD and just rip the audio from it, as even that's borked. Wow, good job. Sign me up for ten of those.

Yawn. If they get a dozen people in each US theater I'll be shocked. They should have made it a Saturday night, not a Wednesday evening. The most common reaction will probably be, "Duran Duran is still together?"

Obviously the band really likes it. I like David Lynch' work and the premise sounded great having the 2 do something of artworthyness. Something that looks much better on paper than actually seeing it, the visuals are too overbearing, it takes away from instead of adding to a very good concert performance. I think in a few spots it really worked but too many instances I catch myself wanting to see past the visuals to see the band perform.
Sausages on the grill during Come Undone, well that says it all.

I don't get the Wednesday release--should be a Saturday release--really they need to get rid of that crappy animation and visuals--I really think that any casual fan going to see this garbage at the theater say on a Wednesday might walk out of this and blame the band when they won't know it was a Lynch production! lol

I think it's easy...cinemas make much more money in Saturday nights showing the regular programm then they wil ever do showing Unstaged.

When I went to Detroit to see "Live in London" in a theater on a Tuesday night, it was sold out. But this was in 2005, when the band was all together and at the height of the reunion. I'd be surprised if the theaters were half full for this one.
