Downloaded it but haven't got a chance to listen to it yet. Duran has been on my brain between last night and seeing UNSTAGED tonight!

very good marketing..just giving it to 500 million people with i-tunes accounts. I'm a U2 fan of about 25 years and I do like the album...not Achtung Baby but still good nonetheless

Take into consideration...you are a band that has strong feelings about human rights and you don't let any opportunity go by to bring that under the attention. For decades you are trying to get your point across.
Then you release your record through Apple who for years now have been accused of ill-treatment of the people who make their products in third world circumstances in China. A company that has a very high suicide rate under it's workers in...again...China.
Does that as a band make you hypocritical....?
O, and the album is very average. The third average U2 album in a row. How I wish they would get back to the highs of Achtung Baby and All That You Can't Leave Behind....

Apple is just their customer. And besides, I haven't any other company than Apple doing a lot to change it. Google it, and you'll find a different story.

I've been seeing a few comparisons to DD online from their fan base, surprisingly. Some believe the chorus to 'Raised by Wolves' starts out with a Simon-like vocal from the early 80's, and Pitchfork tried to compare their last track 'The Troubles' to Come Undone - other than the moody vibe and female guest vocals, that's about it though.

I think its a master stroke, there's an accompanying album coming out too at some point......
I like the album, and the distribution is brilliant. Its a good partnership, would be good if DD could pull something off like this.

Really, who cares!!! U2 are the most OVERATED band in the world. All their music after the Joshua Tree is NOT very good. Duran is a BETTER band. Go ahead & criticize me, do NOT care

Yeah, those two songs definitely remind me of DD and the second track is the type of AOR ballad that DD have been reaching for since OW, but not quite getting there. I think there's a lot of mutual love between the two bands and, of course, I think DD are better. but U2 have had some classic songs, no denying that.
