The best replacement for Andy and Warren. But i would rather have Cuccurullo onboard without his sidesteps...

At first I was pissed Warren was not invited back after Andy spilt again, but what a slap in the face that would have been to him "yeah, we'll have you when Andy isn't interested" I loved Andy, but Warren is technically the greatest musician Duran have ever had, a virtuoso who was just as happy playing sonic atmospherics as he was shredding a solo. Andy just wanted to play as aggressive live as he could and I think he was a better showman than Warren, but I am incredibly at peace with Dom Brown, fantastic guitarist, who doesn't seem to have any ego issues at all. I thought the reason he was never made an official member of Duran was because Duran probably figured Andy would step back in shortly, seems that's not the case. Dom has contributed To RCM, AYNIN (including songwriting credits) and the upcoming album, so...Dom is the man. I liked him from the start, never thought he would be on board 10 years later!

Make him a full time member, that is my opinion:)

I don't think he will become an "official" member. He's very much into his own music and albums as well as others. I think this is just another addition for his musical resume! Just my thinking...

It would be nice if Nick let's Dom shred the guitar and make the guitar the focal point for some live shows ie like Andy but I doubt that will happen..I am at peace with Dom--I do miss Andy as he was the original Fab Five and hope one day in my dreams or if they get to the RRHOF that he plays with them one last time again--heck invite Warren, but I think that ship has sailed..I think he deserved better then a note from Simon about the reunion and his services were no longer needed..I bet that hurt him a lot....
Warren was good--there would not have been a Wedding Album without him and his studio..but I did not like when all the songs were rewritten..okay maybe some but changing the tempo and reworking the classics sort of pissed me off on some songs. I also think Warren is not all there--ie Conspiracy theory for 911 and his Rock Rod and possing for Playgirl or whatever nudie men magazine--I am sure Simon was not happy with that one..but he is a gifted and unique guitarist! No doubt about that!
Duran Duran Forever! With or Without Andy!!!
PS: Speaking of Andy where has he been? I know he produces and still lives in Ibizia but no info or recordings have surfaced since? Does Roger meet him while DJing and did Simon talk to him when they go to holiday or when Nile was there not too long ago with George Clinton? Enquiring minds want to know...lol

The last I heard was the production credits on the Ting Tings album and a picture that Nile posted WAY back. I think he's been busy visiting with his daughter and grandson.

Andy the family man--good on him--I think he is not a fan of touring anymore...
