I can't watch it - I am from 'st..id' Germany Why is this often a problem here In Germany - GEMA, I think they just want money for everything...

Part 2 unfortunately isn't available. But I don't think it contains quotes referring to Duran.
Most remembered quote about Arcadia : "It was overindulgent. You can't run a business with that sort of recording philosophy."
One thing's for sure : The band members made sure that some of the big profits EMI had made came back to them. I also remember a quote by Roger Taylor about The Power Station. He stayed in a hotel in New York for a few weeks (probably a very expensive as well) and all he did during that time was add some overdubs which took him about an hour of studio time.
Unfortunately, their recording philosophy doesn't seem to have changed much. The costs of studio time, however, are far cheaper compared to the eighties.
