VENICE DROWNING always reminds me of this:
BORN UNDER PUNCHES by talking heads... around 55-60 seconds is the spot

I wonder when and where it was played live!! Venice Drowning was played live at a post-Electric Theatre festival the band was playing. It was played live in Denmark: Skanderborg Festival Aug.13, 1989 As a matter of fact the band played several songs they were working on during those festivals. I was lucky to catch "My Family" live in De Panne here in Belgium. They played "Yo bad azizi" at the same concert as well. Denmark got Venice Drowning. All those songs were unreleased at the time. duranduran.wikia.com/wiki/Denmark:_Skanderborg_Festival_Aug.13,_1989

So again I ask: where does this person Valery Taylor named as Elena come from?

mynick7 - Elena was Italian and sang in Italian - according to Tins second post above, or am I missing this? Dr Of The Revolution - "Lucky" to hear My Family Live is the understatement of the year 2015 (so far). At least the band did play their songs live, if only once.

According to Duranasty's website as posted by twingo and the liner notes on Liberty, Silvia was the Italian girl. There is no mention of an "Elena." And I wouldn't trust all that this "Valery" says... All I'm going to say is that I've had past dealings with her and leave it at that.
