Just got home from the concert. What a nice day.
They played the single before they took the stage, just like last week. It's been three years since I saw them and I must say : They looked like a newborn band to me. Simon looked and sang very well. The band was tight. John was really excelling on the bass during Girl Panic. I enjoyed the show but I think it was a bit short on signature songs for a festival audience.
I got the impression that UB40, who played right before them, had more success, but they played their best known hits.
Not much, hardly any talking betweens songs : Simon was going to say something about a concert they would have played in The Hague but was cancelled because the organiser went broke (this happened a few years ago). But Nick had already launched the next song on the sequencer so no time for talking.
Gonna catch some sleep now.

Yup!
Duran Duran is in good shape, and Simon seems to sing better with every year!
Nice set (evethough it was just hits)
Election day was great, especially that it was played very close to the original!
Pity they only got 1 hour (I don't understand for a headliner, but whatever) but pity at least 7 minutes of this hour was wasted by playing Pressure off and then the classical A view to a kill intro.. Could have been 2 more live songs. Also didn't understand the choice to play White lines... but whatever.. It was a great show anyway.. although I really hoped for the Chauffeur!!
