[br Glad they're using something new. The D logo on used on AYNIN was a nice twist on the original from Rio, but I'm sure they've moved on now. This stylised font looks nice, but that artwork is just a bit of fun IMO. Wonder if they'll use a group shot this time? I really don't believe that the logo on AYNIN was in any way a reference to Rio. They had already moved on by then... I do hope that this will be the artwork for the album...it's modern, fresh, will look great on LP format and it will stand out in posters or promo material in record stores or on billboards. Good choice. Yes, yes, love the artwork. I just heard on Twitter that John's doctor lent the false nashers for the album's photo shoot. Maybe a clue to a song title .."False Teeth".

Not that I'm aware, it's just to my eyes, the D from the front cover of AYNIN is based on the same font used for the D from the front cover of Rio, albeit with a slight change.

The big 'D' logo from the AYNIN artwork is definitely a throwback to the Rio cover. The font used is strikingly similar, the only real difference is that it is slightly more stylised on AYNIN. The big 'D' appears in it's smaller form as the first letter in 'DURAN DURAN' on the cover of Rio. The actual DD logo on the AYNIN cover is a different font altogether but bears a vague similarity to the Rio era fontface. Compare: upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/4/4c/Duranduran_all-you-need-is-now.pngecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/71Q9sZ01rNL._SL1300_.jpgRegarding the band appearing on the Paper Gods cover art, Simon I believe ruled this out in a recent interview, saying 'Who would want to look at a picture of us now when we're as old as we are?'.

Fine by me if you want to believe it definately refers to Rio! I was just wondering if anyone in the band or design team confirm this, nothing more, nothing less.

its funny how its posted here that THIS IS the album title and THIS IS the artwork... neither have been confirmed! The photo that duran duran put out today on their twitter and FB doesn't necessarily mean that is the album name... could be just a song.

Attachment DeletedI doubt the official DD Facebook page would create this graphic just to promote a random song from the album.
