Love it! Have to admit the first couple times listening on tinny tablet speakers I was kinda like Huh? But after a few more listens with headphones am loving it. That chorus is catchy as hell.

The single artwork is different - same concept as Paper Gods, but a single image - lips with ultra long fang teeth!

Why can't they just release it on iTunes ? This is not the way to create a buzz. So many people are having problems accessing the song.

So happy someone posted the link to Rdio - frustrated I can't find it on iTunes in Canada...yet. I've listened to the track 3-4 times in row and I already have the song completely stuck in my head. The opening is amazing - familiar Nile guitar licks and the uplifting "stepping out" vocal looped for a great build-up. The verses are catchy and have that nice Chic vibe we'd expect from Nile and I love that JT's bass is featured strongly on this track. The chorus is one of the catchiest they've written in a very long time - solid ear-worm!
Janelle is clearly singing some backing vocals during the track, but her short solo around the 3:00 mark is short but powerful and I love how her vocals transition back into Simon's (who sounds fantastic here).
If you've just listened to this on crappy laptop speakers, PLEASE give it a go with good headphones or quality speakers. When I first listened on my Mac, I was a bit "meh" as it sounded so thin, but firing it through good headphones suddenly brought out John's amazing bass work and gave the rhythm section major punch. I'm puzzled about the comments regarding the synths over-powering guitar, etc. - I don't get that at all and find Nile's rifs featured prominently (along with bass).
Certainly the BEST lead-off single DD has released since the Wedding Album. Sunrise and AYNIN were good, but this is far more "hooky" and has the potential for widespread appeal. Will it get them the level of attention of "Get Lucky"? Doubtful...but this does have the chops to be a great summer hit!

I’d like to understand Warner’s promotional strategy here – a slow roll-out to build interest? Has any other artist’s lead single been released this way with no fanfare?

Once again in the history of Duran Duran there seems to be something fundamentally wrong about the organization around this band. Releasing their first single in almost 5 years should be a major event published all around with direct access in every channel. Instead the diehards look, Google and dig under every stone for a new track. With no information whatsoever from the bands spokespersons, management and/or record company. No wonder they fail again and again to rise to former glory.

I love it, my god it's catchy! Although for me it does sound more like a Nile Rodgers song featuring Duran Duran.

Agree about the mess surrounding this release. It should be on iTunes first and then on Spotify, that's what most people use nowadays.

I think you're right about the slow-burn strategy... Didn't this track have a bit of a "problem child" history? Janelle came in late to record her part - wasn't it Feb, according to the Nile tweets? it took them awhile to finish this one off? a lot of tries, according to those original liner notes... I think this track is designed to test the waters so to speak, dip the toe in and announce the band is back with a new album... and gauge response. with better, stronger tracks coming out next as the lead-up to the album release continues... by the time the album actually comes out in Sept, this one here will be the track you'll just simply skip over, having heard it so many times by then... lol.
