Apparently the cost is £500,000 to book Duran Duran. And maybe they will give a discount for loyal fans through 20-30 years. If we were to be 5000 fans, each fan would have to pay 100£. That is just 30£ more you pay to see them play in front of 18000 people. People pay 200-300£ for a possible meet and greet. But how much would you like to pay for a One-night fan special, where Duran Duran would play new songs and some rarities from the career. Leaving out the worn out songs like Hungry like the Wolf. Would you even pay extra for guest artist like Andy Taylor and Warren Cuccurullo? Choose A, B or C Please choose two answers. Name your price and if you would like a guest appearance or not?

500£ and Warren as special! Hell couldn't we organize an online event? We could get many more pledgers it would be much cheaper and have it as a pay per view event. It would be an incredible interactive show! We could pay for soundboard recordings, ideally of fan favorites they have never or seldom played live!

Now how the hell would we all agree on a setlist? I would hope for magic ones like -To The Shore -Like An Angel -Shadows On Your Side -Winter Marches On (only played on the Big Thing Tour and I loved it) -Land (never performed live) -My Antarctica (never performed live) -Sin Of The City (never performed live) -Fallen Angel (never performed live) -Midnight Sun (never performed live) -Box Full Of Honey -Too Bad You're So Beautiful -Secret Oktober (another updated Warren arrangement)
They could pick the rest as long as the didn't play any hits, Why not play "So Red The Rose" in it's entirety for this gig, Nick said he would love to do that!

Well A-ha played 'hunting high & Low' @ The Royal Albert Hall in its entirety a few years back, Gary Numan is playing 3 classic albums over 3 nights in October and ABC are reworking 'The Lexicon of Love' with the help of a full orchestra later this year at The Birmingham Symphony Hall..so it's a distinct possibility my Skinny Wink Yeah I know it's not an official Duran album, but it was recorded designed not to be played live. I am not saying they should go all out crazy and get all the guest musicians to appear for the performance of So Red...I think they could get away with just using a string section. It would be great to hear John Taylor adding his own little groves to the songs, not just playing a carbon copy of the recorded tracks. Plus it could just make So Red a semi-official Duran album with this line-up performing it live!

Have to agree with everyone so far. If the concert truly was for the fans, then the fans don't need to hear the usual suspects any more. Most of the suggested tracks above are awesome, great songs that they have never or hardly ever played before.
And if they can't do all of them, for whatever reason, say Simon can't hit those high notes any more (we've all heard that terrible live version of New Moon On Monday where it appeared Simon was having vocal difficulties) then why not re-work the song ala Secret Oktober? How good was that version?
If they can turn Secret Oktober into something completely different and still amazing, then they could probably do it for a few of their other songs as well. Why not a rock version of Midnight Sun, or a reggae version of The Chauffeur?

Ha! 'Stir it up' mixed in with 'The Chauffeur'..now that's funny Coolbarn!!! Your posts really make sense until you go and spoil it with a duff!! Lol Hey don't laugh just yet Skinburn! We were going to do a cover of The Chauffeur because it was my brother (bass player) and mate's (lead singer and rhythm guitarist) favourite Duran Duran song, and they thought they would throw me a bone (I was possibly the only drummer in a reggae band in history to list Duran Duran as their favourite band!). That was until my brother badly broke his finger playing football, and because it was bent at a weird and ungodly angle he sadly had to stop playing the bass guitar altogether. And if we couldn't play together, then the entire band decided we wouldn't play at all. We had been looking for a keyboard player without any luck, and didn't want to start looking for a bass player as well (it wasn't easy finding decent reggae musicians in Brisbane 20 years ago). So sadly we never got to reconstruct The Chauffeur in all of its reggae-y glory, but I guarantee it would have kicked arse!
