honestly, this video is embarrassing. there is no balls, roger sounds as if he is hitting the drums like an 80 yr old man, loads of pre-recorded vocals, the guitar sounds aweful... i wish the reunion never happened You wish the reunion never happened? I'm assuming you mean the 2003 reunion? Duran would not be existing now without the reunion so I'm sure we will all take your comment with tongue firmly in cheek. I think this is a case of 'bubbling over'. Expecting too much too soon. It's one of the first live performances of 'Pressure Off'. Let's not forget the band are not ageless rockers who can perform like sea lions at the click of a finger. If you're looking for energy I think you're in the wrong house mate! Lol. When I saw the clip I actually thought they looked pretty good. They've all lost weight (looking fit and trim), they look pleased to be there with happy smiling faces and so they should be, by still being relevant, standing the test of time, still here in 2015 and still feeling 'up' to the task of making a new album. Wow! How good is that? Free speech and everything but please, this is the second or third time you've flipped your lid in a week. You strike me as a very angst person. I actually asked you on another thread if you actually support Duran Duran? You didn't really answer. It's a serious question. I ask because it's very unusual for a fan of an artist to actually wish a reunion had never taken place. If there's no band, there's not much point having a forum. Just curious Well said! Some folks are just plain mean and have something stuck up their bum!!! lol

Christ there's many bands and artist which do the same if not worse...

Some serious auto-tuning on SLB's chorus vocals. The verse stuff is also run through a pitch-shifter, but given how processed the chorus is I'd say what was heard was 80% pre-record vox (off the master), with his auto-tuned contribution mixed over the top to give live inflection. Given the way the auto-tune would be set, SLB could belch into the mic and it would come out perfectly pitched, moving through all the right dips and soars. Don't encourage him to try it ....

Some folks are just plain mean and have something stuck up their bum!!! lol YES! I wish the reunion never happened. I became a Duran fan in 1993 BECAUSE OF WARREN. Their work from 1993-2000 was mature, rock, experimental, unique and you can hear a band truly being A BAND - in the studio AND live. There was a maturity to their 90's work... they weren't singing much about Girls On Film anymore, but now writing songs like "Out Of My Mind", "Who Do You Think You Are", "Someone Else Not Me" (yes, they still had "Electric Barbarella, Hallucinating Elvis", etc..) but I love those songs too. They aren't bubble gum pop in the way say "Sunrise", "Nice", "Girl Panic" and "Pressure Off" are. In 1997-2001 especially you can hear a band doing what THEY WANT TO DO, not DESIGNED to sell records. Astronaut sounds like the backstreet boys production, RCM/Timabaland crap, and yes AYNIN still sounds way too crisp. Pop on Medazzaland, Pop Trash, Wedding Album, and those sound like BAND recordings without all the gimmicks to try and push units. I would have loved to see where Warren took the band next. Oh and LIVE... go watch "Friends Of Mine", "Hungry", "Girls On Film" from 1999 and compare it to todays versions. The drummers hit the drums with AGGRESSION, Roger hits them weak, Warren's guitar was pure POWER on stage... Simon's vocals were even cooler in the 90's. The reunion ITSELF was designed to sell units... nothing more. I guarantee you if Pop Trash sold millions, there WOULD be no reunion. now - do I SUPPORT the band? answer is... i dont know what that means. I listen to songs I like, and dont listen to songs I dont. Duran Duran have always been a favorite band of mine because EVERY album up until 2004 was great to me with VERY little filler.... now I feel the opposite... I can hear the gimmicks, I see what they are trying to do. it's a depressing time to be a Duran fan.... honestly... I'd rather them retire then hear my favorite band sound like this.

Everybody is entitled to their own opinion of course, but IMO the Duran from 1993-2000 is not a band being a band, but Nick and Warren diverging in a direction that made the other two members very unhappy at the time. So definately NOT what they wanted to do. To me, that period is about TV Mania, not DD. I really like TWA, but the rest of that period is just plain crap. Every song and album out there has its fans of course, but the PT incarnation for me personally is an absolute low in the history of Duran. I like the Duran of HLTW, AVTAK, Nice, Being followed, Hold back the rain, Notorious. Sound of thunder and PO And with respect to this live version of PO, you cannot compare this to the coke-fuelled performances they gave in 1981-1984 obviously. I mean the guys are in their 50s. Bowie had a heart attack at the current age of Duran's members and never played live or gave any interview after that, so we should be happy that they are still around.

Getting back to this live version. I'd rather have them using a bit of technology to get a good sound for promotional performances than have the possibility of it going wrong. Remember All You Need Is Now on the Alan Carr show? It was all going well up until Simon sang the high bits at the end! After that performance and when he came back after his throat exploded he was wise to leave all the high stuff to Anna

No offense, but just quit listening to them then. why? Im still interested to see what the new album has. I will probably enjoy the 1993-2001 period better than anything they will make now and in the future, but still, why should I stop listening? Given that logic, everyone should only listen to their top 5 songs, because nothing else can compete.

Medazzaland and Pop Trash ARE Duran Duran, and I bet if they sold millions there would have been NO REUNION.
Do you guys not see they are only out to SELL RECORDS??? They will do anything and make any sacrafice to SELL RECORDS.
Lindsey Lohan, Timabaland, Timberlake, making AYNIN sound like their old stuff... it's all calculated now.
