Sorry that new U2 song and that a-ha song just plain boring--the Duran song IMO blows them both out of the water in arrangement and originality! Duran and U2 fresh meat...lol Anyone know on BBC2 if we can call to request PO will that help...I think BBC is antiDuran! absoluteradio.co.uk/music/new-music/They do spin a lot of 80's Duran which is nice to see.but I want new duran! lol

Absolute Radio are the main supporter at the moment with 12 plays over the last week or so. Hopefully Radio 2 will put it on its play list soon. This could be a slow burner with more momentum nearer the album release. I'd like to think Warner and DD know whey they're doing.

I hope you are right as I am hearing too many people saying song is boring or bland and DJ's don't want to play it--but correct me if I am wrong--new A-ha-waaay too boring yet it's A list for Radio2....come on--if that song is on it why not Duran's song--it's not that bad compared to new A-ha???

Absolute Radio is a big national station so as long as they keep playing it there's a good chance others will follow suit.

I do admire your tenacity for pursuing the radio promo Andre, but part of me can't help but wonder if most of these playlists are already determined from the get-go. That tends to be my experiences anyway, even 10+ years ago when people actually did request songs or call into DJs even more. Nowadays, with Spotify and Pandora and all that, it's hard to tell just how much the industry's changed.
One note that doesn't hurt is that it does help to call or e-mail a station AFTER they play the song. So it might be a matter of looking out for who's actually playing the song and then letting them know that you heard it there.

I agree After but if Clear Channel already has their format and PO is not part of it--I am trying to get it on it to begin with--tough tough sell...lol
