Best seats on UK tour seem to be selling out. If they have done pre-recorded interviews to promote the Dock Rocks gig, obviously the stations won't be running them and the chance to promote PO and PG has been lost.

NEW YORK (AP) — The South Street Seaport Museum has canceled a benefit concert featuring British rock band Duran Duran scheduled for next week.
It says Dock Rocks - Party on the Piers, slated for Tuesday, was being canceled "due to unforeseen logistical problems at the site."
Museum Executive Director Jonathan Boulware says organizers are now planning an alternative fundraiser for the museum in October that will include many of the same performers.

This is very amusing to me. So, a show gets cancelled and people think its because Duran can't sell tickets? Duran selling tickets is definitely not the problem. Look at it this way. I was looking at the Daily Duranie site and they mentioned they were at the Spandau Ballet show and 8k were there. If 8K were there for Spandau, then Duran getting at least that is a non issue. Duran has never had a problem getting people to their events - even during the pop trash era when the PNC arts center (formerly Garden State Arts Center) in NJ sold out for them back in 99. What was one reason Sony and now Warner signed the band? To make money - you have to be a tour attraction - which Duran definitely is.
But wait - this cancellation has to be because no one is interested in Duran and it's because Warner
1. Chose the wrong lead single for PO 2. Has not made a video yet for PO 3. Has not marketed it to radio correctly
Get a grip people. Take a deep breath and exhale.
