This is a great opportunity. So far I have submitted:
-Has a video been made for "Pressure Off" and when will it be released?
-Will you ever perform "New Moon on Monday" in concert?
-I asked John for details about the musical he is working on with Nick (title, source material, etc.)
I'm thinking of some others to ask. Any suggestions? The more they receive on a particular topic, the better the chances that they will pick it.

I submitted the following:
Hi guys, you have said how refreshing it was to talk to Warner who really supported you after hearing Paper Gods, even throwing out the red carpet for you! Thus far we haven't seen any real promotion for Pressure Off even though it has been out for over six weeks. My question is what demographic are Warner chasing for Duran Duran in 2015, and what are the main avenues they intend to pursue to let everybody hear Paper Gods and make them realise how amazing Duran Duran still are to this day?
Now like Ask Katy this question thing will end up a complete waste of time because the band will just cherry pick the easy to answer questions, and not address anything meaty nor say anything potentially negative about Paper Gods, Warner, or the future.
(It's only AFTER the band leave Warner that they will make comments like nobody at Disney having ears [unlike Mickey Mouse] and that they were glad to be free from Sony. They will never publicly say anything negative about their record company while they are still signed to them. I realise they might be under various NDAs or don't want to spoil any surprises, but come on it's not 1984 any more. There aren't millions of people just dying to hear the latest Duran Duran news or plans, so I fail to see how keeping things bottled up now is going to attract more fans when Warner eventually unleashes!)
So a complete waste of a question I know, but I'd still rather ask it because that is the sort of stuff I want to hear about Duran Duran and their marketing strategy. I couldn't care less about the happy happy joy joy questions of little consequence that will undoubtedly make the final cut.

I also asked:
Have any 12" remixes been done for "Pressure Off" and if so when will they be released?

Here are the questions I submitted:
The music world has become a more competitive landscape now more than ever. It's difficult to simply be heard with people having so many choices and options for musical acts and entertainment streams. Who and what do you feel are your biggest competitors and how do you feel you stack up?
What do you think is the public perception of the band? What would you like it to be?
All You Need Is Now was an enormous success especially among long time fans, while Red Carpet Massacre (which featured Justin Timberlake and Timbaland) did not manage to find the right audience. How do you balance trying to appeal to the younger generation and stay relevant while still hold on to long time fans that continue to support you?

Great questions Lu. They are also the meaty sort of things I would like to hear the band answer 100% honestly, political correctness be damned! But another downside to these "question times" is too often I feel like I'm getting cliched answers the band thinks we would like to hear, rather than the real truth. They'll read your questions, then read my question, then jump straight to Josefk's one about ever playing New Moon On Monday in concert and run with that one instead - it's a lot easier and more comfortable for them to answer. And even then they probably won't answer the question definitively, and use quotes like "it's one of our favourites that we have been meaning to get around to", or "never say never", or anything but yes or no Who knows, maybe they'll surprise me. Maybe they will intentionally pick uncomfortable questions. Maybe they won't use too many cliches and speak 100% honestly from the heart. Maybe they will answer things definitively and not sit on the politically correct fence too often. I would love for that to happen. But I'm not holding my breath. I'm really glad that they are at least trying to maintain contact and develop closer relationships with their fans, and so I think it is great for the band to do this. I would love to hear from the band more often, speak to us more often, and answer our questions more often. Particularly if they are willing to share the uncomfortable, (Paper) God's honest truth. It's really a waste of time if they don't.

To their defense--really how many artists over 40 are you hearing on the radio these days?
It's a young kids game--sad to say....but can anyone ask them any remixes for Dance and AC charts--are we getting an official video for PO?
New Prince song and didn't get all the attention as the new One Erection song which by the way is horrid and rushed--you could tell....

Loved your question as well, CB! But I have to agree that they will probably pick easy questions, or something like, "how do you guys manage to look so good all the time?" But you never know. Maybe they will ask more difficult or uncomfortable questions, but the band will masterfully dodge the issue or give a very diplomatic and vague answer.
For example, I can see them answering your question like this:
My question is what demographic are Warner chasing for Duran Duran in 2015, and what are the main avenues they intend to pursue to let everybody hear Paper Gods and make them realise how amazing Duran Duran still are to this day?
"We want to reach as many people as possible. We're going out on tour and getting the word out that we've made the best work of our careers and have some very talented people on the record like Janelle and John Frusciante!"
Cynical, I know. It's funny (and maybe a little sad), sometimes I do daydream that I'm able to bump into them and that I would have the guts to get into some really meaty conversations with them about music making and their place in the commercial music world.
