I really hope that Pressure Off gets released as a cd single, and have the night version and instrumental version. I did read somewhere on this board that these tracks will be released on a special vinyl, only problem is I sold my turntable about eight years ago, then again I read somewhere that if you buy from amazon you also get a AutoRip from the vinyl. If this is true then I might buy that format.

I think the joy of vinyl is so much better than CDs or digital music. If it is true that Amazon gives a autorip from the vinyl then it will definately not be taken from the Vinyl Factory vinyl.

Personally Duran Duran could have high quality music download service from their store, with better bandwidth these days a 24bit wav file could easily be downloaded within a few minutes and you could downgrade wav to mp3/acc, if needed for your ipod etc.

Nick said these bonus tracks were all were contenders for the album and they had to cut them just to keep the album short and punchy! I can't wait to arrange Paper Gods how I want it. I hope some of these tracks are better than the Paper Gods songs I really don't care for. It is going to be fun making our "fan's choice" own tracklists

Has anyone heard "as seen from a distance" yet? Is that an accurate bonus track?

Absolutely love Valentine Stones! Think it's got a real mysticism. Proper retro Duran sound too! Planet Roaring has got a bit of Altered Images "Don't Talk To Me About Love" about it!

'Cinderella Ride' is my favourite of the bunch at the moment. Classic mid-career Duran, could have easily been on Big Thing or TWA although it wouldn't sound out of place on AYNIN either. Such a catchy hook too!
'On Evil Beach' is very quirky and has a nice bassline. 'Valentine Stones' sounds very 80's but the electronics are very prominent giving it a Human League feel.
'Northern Lights' starts off a little bland but builds to a fabulous crescendo. Roger's open hi hats give it a real swing. The only bonus track I don't care for is 'Planet Roaring' but moreover these are very strong bonuses. They all could have easily replaced the four or five duff tracks that did make the album...

Northern Lights and Planet Roaring are not only the best bonus tracks, but two of the best tracks on the whole album. Planet Roaring is the only other song , along with Face for Today, that is classic Duran Duran sound.
