i totally thought the video would drop today. i think dropping the video this week was key to Pressure Off's success, and they seem to have missed the opportunity entirely.

Is there an update on the release? Nick Egan's website as well as the "Creative Vandal" Facebook page have been inactive for awhile. Can someone provide a link with the details.

Nick's facebook is very much alive. He just put up some thoughts on the Wedding Album designs. No update on Pressure Off though.

The momentum for PO is gone, and for PG all together too. They keep on f___ing things up even now they have a big record label behind them. They're not interested in making money after all. Then why not make a real, good old fashion Duran Duran the EXISTING fan base has been supporting (READ: PROVIDING THEIR BREAD AND BUTTER) for so long. But hey, the fan base was never important. Just a bunch of almost elderly trying to be hip again - even though PG is a pretty good album, I rather have them release a REAL Duran Duran album instead with no more video's crap. The time of night versions, 12" etc. is also gone, so why bother giving your fans some treats. It's much better being a Depeche Mode fan than a Duran Duran fan. It's cocky Simon and brainless controller-Nick all over the place. f___ off with the video. Just leave it. Go ahead with the tour already old lazy retards!

I honestly cannot comprehend how some of the people on here consider themselves Duran Duran fans/Durannies. The way some of you insult and put down certain band members and the music they make is not in any definition of the word "fan." I mean, if you think Depeche Mode are doing such a better job, dutchduran, then go listen to them and post on their message boards instead of insulting Duran Duran here.

1 This album is doing better than the last two I believe. Has reaped some good reviews. Appears to be on the music scene's radar. I don't think that the video is that important....it's just cool that we are getting one. I am visual.
2 The only time my teen kids watch music videos is when I watch music videos. Not that my kids are Duran Duran consumers but that includes their music too. That ship has sailed....like CD's.
3 I am working on a music video for my new song but I will use the video on facebook and youtube to promote the digital sales of the song. For most established artists, the video is not make or break for sales. It is just a weak promotional tool and most video production costs have been slashed because of it.
4. I will contemplate a CD release but it is really just an added expense and digital release is all I really need. That cost about 50 bucks compared to 300 bucks for a hundred CDs.
This is a different time in the music business. Duran Duran's long roll out continues and I think it is a pretty fun time for fans.

They certainly take their fans a lot more seriously than DD does, and many out there know it. First of all, there's still 12" versions of just about everything they still put out, CD singles. Their whole back catalogue is available on vinyl and so on. Must I continue or do you still can not comprehend? There's a real and justified reason to insult them because they JUST WON'T LISTEN. They're just in it for the money, not the love anymore. And it's very, very disappointing their treat their own fans this way. Not even to mention the way they handle the feedback from the fans with this incapable Katy getting in the way all the time.

Impossible to compare those two acts... I'm all DD, but DM is close...but again, can't compare them. Different music, different audience.
One thing's for sure: Dave Gahan is a way better singer with a range simply a few vocalists can put on their CV, but Simon creates a whole different atmosphere that suits me better.
and I agree, DM are much more fan friendly and Dave Gahan is God:)

I see it another way to be honest, they are dragging out the interest in the song and album in a good way. When media and the like is slowing up as the release is done and it's dropping down the chart bam throw the video out there, get people talking about that as believe it or not there's plenty of people who don't know or haven't heard that there is a new album and the chances of them finding out maybe slightly better then just going guns blazing for one week firing all your ammo in one go and not having anything left for the future. It's only a view that some people might not agree with but it's a better view than those back in June shouting that the album must drop then to capitalise...... on what I could never quite get but yes I can happily call them Muppets who live a small duran bubble!
