You’ve just endorsed Warren in a roundabout way Andre But last time i checked with Warren they were a 4 piece band on TY--so they all had a say-yes his guitar, but JT's bass--Simon's vocals and Nick's Keyboards--plus didn't everyone have a say on what songs to include? According to John, each member of the band chose four songs and had to defend them from the others.

I liked White Lines & Perfect Day... i still listen these songs from Thank You... We even use DD: Perfect Day as our wedding song at early 2000s (PD is only DD song that my wife loves)...

Will surely dig into all the Duranie analysis at some point. Yet, for now, I must simply say that this misbegotten take on 'Thank You' is pure and utter bullshit!!!!

TY is a pretty good album, I like Perfect Day, White lines, Thank You (Jimmy Page used it for the LZ tribute album), Lay Lady Lay and many more. Love the drumming on the album, especially on Higher and TY. It sold 500.000 copies alone in the States. That’s like all their Latest releases together!!

Thank You is a great album...period. Only regret is that they didn’t release a follow up to TWA concurrently to keep the momentum going.

You can even find that 2CD version in thrift stores for almost nothing.

Like most DD LPs, IMO there are only 2 songs I don't prefer to listen to on Thank You
The rest of the LP is typical DD gold.
It doesn't bother me that it's a cover LP, it's a well recorded DD piece of work, organic with solid grooves and typically beautiful balladry.
I get that the timing of its release may or may not have been the best (coulda shoulda woulda), HOWEVER every time listen to my beloved tracks from the TY LP, it's actual release date?, month? Which single was released on which side of the Atlantic? & when? is ACTUALLY the FURTHEST thing on my mind !
IMO White Lines is the best blend of rap n rock I've ever EVER heard.
If anyone else knows of a bonafide white band having the balls to take on a rap original and doing a better job than DD have done here with WLs, I'd LOVE to hear it !!!
I can't speak for anyone else yet Ive most certainly got my money's worth from listening and appreciating it over the years that's for sure.
