It will be a double LP in colored vinyl with much more songs than Arena and ina true live mix. It will be similar to the ATLGD iTunes release, maybe with some extra songs as it is a double LP and the iTunes release has only 11 songs. In my eyes, this is a great edition for collectors and fans, especially fans of that period. On this board, there were multiple threads complaining about the lack of physical releases. Now that there is a new (and great) one coming, people still complain. I don‘t understand... Anyword if there will be a CD format? Man would love to have this in CD format.....

Per DD it’s a 3 sided set... Coming your way on Record Store Day (US & UK) ...As The Lights Go Down three sided live LP ...watch this space! Three sided means: A double-sided disc 1 and one-sided disc 2??

So disappointing. A proper release of the MSG or Westwood 1 radio broadcast would preferable.
When Paste posted the MSG show a few years ago, it was truly a revelation.
DD were a beast live in 1984.
A double live album of that show instead of the polished Arena would have destroyed criticisms of them being a “video” band back in 1984.

It's a bit underwhelming, but will still get it (subject to the usual caveats about Record Store Day availability) as it looks a nice item.
If this was the focus I'd have preferred an Arena reissue instead.
But a full concert with the mix left live would have been killer.

What the H_ _ _ is Rio doing there inbetween the SBS chill out section ?
When I saw them actually play a SBS gig way back in 83, Rio wasn't there in the set !
Also for some time now many have been complaining on this board why won't they do a Liberty, TWA, TY, M & PT and in some cases Astronaut LP deluxe version.
My response has been standard all along, that this is never going to happen and neither hasn't it happened yet has it ? Why ? coz it's too complicated to re release stuff that "former" members have written who are not actually in DD, it doesn't make good business sense. It's about the time being right/best bang for buck thing.
Has it occurred to anyone that perhaps AT may possibly be on his way back (hence this release) whether it be just for a one of tour or to record? Which is why this has been pulled out of the "darkness" for a release in this day n age.
You read it here first Lol 😂
When we got The DD deluxe's of DD, Rio & Seven, AT was in DD wasn't he and when we got the deluxe's of Notorios and Big Thing, the great Warren wasn't a member of DD
Think about it !

Nothing more than that, really.

Yeah I get what you're saying DN however it's way easier for DD to re release anything from 81 82 83 including up to 85 & I'll add 86, 88 before Warren became a member (considering) Taylor LeBon and Rhodes are still in DD. This is way easier for them than the complexity of paying royalties to Warren and Sterling for that matter. In regards to AT his early efforts are straight forward and that makes it seamless to a degree. Remember AT only played on notorious out of obligation which was a signed "contract ending" deal. IMO the reason why none of us have "reportage" is probably coz it ain't quite finished but most likely coz AT isnt in DD ! I just know know that DD "DONT" look back, unless there's a good enough reason, & I'm not convinced that AYNIN was a good enough reason for them coz as it is outside the AYNIN/ADITM tour no tracks from that release have ever been played live. Now the the band may have said that they weren't involved but is it totally like true as a fact ? They may have may not have, but there's no denying that somewhere along the line they haven't had a say however little it may be, geez they created the musicality on this forth comming release including title and whoever it pushing it out is using DDs copyrighted art work and if Denis O's pics from the era are included how can then "none" of DD have had a say whether it's a big say or tiny say? Ohh and I seem to have missed the 3010 re issue/release of GOF !

Nothing more than that, really. Again I get where you're coming from but these are full or complete band member releases. I was getting at the deluxe versions off official releases where demos that have never seen the light of day are included. If the band member in this case isn't currently in DD it's not worth while IMO. Like extrapolating the $ share equally. What other logical reason is there for no deluxe versions of studio albums 90, 93, 95, 97, 00 & 04 ? Sure you can say that these LPs didn't sell bucket loads I suppose, (like the early LPs) however did BT sell more than TWA? coz we got a deluxe BT didn't we. Or Wouldnt DD have to pay Warren C are different % share in royalties from a BT re deluxe release than a TWA re deluxe release? He wasn't a DD member in 88 yet was in the creation of TWA 91, 92, and hence its 93 release n subsequent tour ! IMO How can this not be an obvious factor !
