I'm hoping DD release a new greatest hits next year. What would you like to see included? I think they should include all the tracks from Greatest (not including Electric Barbarella) plus.....
1. My Own Way (Single version) 2. Violence of Summer 3. All you need is now 4. Sunrise 5. What Happens Tomorrow 6. Girl panic 7. Pressure Off

I know some people involved with the catalog (and possibly Nick) have hinted at an Anthology project in recent years. But with the streaming era more or less minimizing the "greatest hits" album this past decade, I'm not sure how likely it is that something like that would come out. At least in the classic sense of something with just the main singles and that's that.
I imagine something could still come out though if they pulled something unique together (a box set, for example).

I just need to hear this:
‘Don’t Look Back’ was written at the time of ‘Wild Boys’. It’s myfavourite unfinished gem. Maybe one day we’ll dust it off and releaseit..JT”

Greatest hits packages are essentially dead in the era of streaming.
However, deluxe versions of the back catalog could easily be dropped on Spotify and Apple to drum up interest in the band's legacy.
And that should include the lost gems like Fallen Angel, Don't Look Back, the Astronaut sessions and God forbid....Reportage. The release of this treasure trove will come down to labels and lawyers.
If DD, their management and their lawyers were smart, they would start using streaming platforms to drop deep cuts, remastered albums and rare gems so as to celebrate their legacy and engage the fan base leading up to the 40th anniversary.

According to this site www.mediatraffic.de/ Kylie’s recent 42 track greatest hits package has, after 7 weeks sold 122,000 units globally so if it’s done right, it will sell.

But most of these will have been streams. However, still interesting, since it is Kylie’s 250th best of compilation 😛 Duran only has two official ones and several less official best of CDs.
