The new ABC show Mixed-ish has a preview of an upcoming show on Instagram that has a funny DD Stereotype/reference that my friend showed me...I can’t find it anywhere else, but maybe an Instagram user can find it and post a link.

You know what - I'm not at all offended by that. But then again I'm pretty thick-skinned.
What DOES offend me is the fact that we can pick and choose who we're allowed to offend and who we are not. There are certain groups that are easy targets, and there are certain "taboo" groups that are not allowed to be denigrated. I'm not going to mention specifics because I don't want to offend people or turn this thread into a politically correct debate, but the sad fact remains that at this very moment in time we live in a society where people/groups are picking and choosing who is allowed to be discriminated against and who isn't. And that isn't right.
Either ALL groups should be allowed to poke fun at themselves and others, or NO groups should be allowed to do so. Personally I'm in the former camp as I think we're becoming more and more precious every day and forgetting how to laugh at ourselves.
Not to mention - I don't think Duran Duran is the quintessential white band anyway. They have probably utilised more black musicians and producers on the road and in the studio since they first hit it big, plus they promoted themselves as "Chic meets the Sex Pistols". Many black people/artists think they're pretty cool in fact.
So I don't know who the poster-band for white people would be. Probably some European hair band or Country & Western group. But I'm pretty sure it's not Duran Duran!
