Well I don't Duran ever should write another Bond theme again. Let's be honest it will never be so good as A View To A Kill so what's the point. The did it, they did it perfect so thats what stands and that is what is it.

how could anyone say she is terrible? I wish Paper Gods was half as good as her album. Come on...PG is way better than her songs--it all sounds the same....let me know if she is around after 5 yrs---there is no more longevity in the music business...I don't get her music? But to each their own....she has a few good ones--but she won't be around for long IMHO....

I've said it before but I think it would be a good move for the studio to commission a full movie soundtrack for a Bond film. Give 10-12 artists, new and legacy, the opportunity to record a Bond theme. Of course only one would be used in the film but I think it would generate a lot more public interest if other artists (like Duran Duran) were involved. Alternately, it would be cool if Duran Duran went ahead and recorded an unofficial theme that is in time with the film's intro. I would love to hear a Skyfall Bond theme written and performed by Duran, even though the film is several years old...

Was listening to a Toronto station today - AM640 - the host Greg Brady recommended that the Bond producers should just have Duran Duran record every Bond theme song while A View To A Kill played in the background start to finish.
Nice!

I really do not see that... The Bond franchise is a very conservative one as we all know, explicitly sexist, racist and homophobic until quite recently, and very conservative when it comes to protecting the 'brand' and music. So they just want to create as much interest commercially as possible by using current bands. That boomers do not like that is their loss of course.

Instead of just one song, release a full soundtrack where all the songs would be alternate Bond themes (only the Eilish theme would be used in the film). Utilize current artists, of course, but also include some artists (not just Duran) that performed past Bond themes. The idea is that such a project would generate media buzz for the franchise since its never been done before and would appeal to a broader demographic. But I agree with you that it will never happen...
