I agree Andre! Sure Paper Gods had great guitarists like Frusciante and Jones contributing, and most of those songs were standouts, but it would be nice to have a cohesive album of simple, catchy guitar riffs again.
Simple and catchy, such as Girls On Film, and Hungry Like The Wolf, was were Andy excelled. That's what I'd like a return to - simple music where the songwriting is the hero, not the bells and whistles.

Not meaning to be disrespectful to Dom Brown, but I’m hoping Graham is hired for the festival dates and London. See how it goes and book him for the tour at the end of this year / beginning of next? I like Blur and Graham’s guitar work so I do hope he’s involved, but I think Dom’s songwriting contributions to AYNIiN and PG were amongst the best tracks so I hope he’s involved too. They just might not be name dropping Dom because no one knows who he is!

I like Blur and Graham’s guitar work so I do hope he’s involved, but I think Dom’s songwriting contributions to AYNIiN and PG were amongst the best tracks so I hope he’s involved too. They just might not be name dropping Dom because no one knows who he is! I also think it's a case of additional guitarists adding a different "flavour" to DDs music Dom is a good solid guitarist however a little too bluesy for my liking yet does a good enough job. Currently he's been DD's main session guitarist since 2006/2007 although IMO (&DDs too) he is not as versatile as Warren. Lets ts face it DD themselves have previously referred to WC as a virtuoso havent they and I have yet to hear DD refer to Dom or Andy is such a manner. With all that said I therefore think it's important and perhaps vital that DD continue to utilise the varied guitarists who they have previously admired especially if they are free and available to collaborate with them because it adds variety and I'll say it once again, a different flavour to their music. I can see Dom being their ongoing touring/studio session guitarist because he's solid, easy to work with and obviously he's not a hot head. Personally Dom's done some great things and my favourite Dom part is on falling down (the LP version) his Hendriix like guitar playing is spiritual IMO and I truly connect with the "sensual DD", infact I miss it heaps TBH ! Somethings has just occurred to me, this impending DD studio LP release will be Dom's 4th studio LP with DD hence Dom is on as many as Andy yet Dom has been offering his efforts to DD for a longer period than Andy has.
