Is there anyone that knows which label versions are correct?
I have the following (That I think are correct): Blue Label (Simon Cover) Purple Label (Andy Cover) Magenta Label (Nick Cover)_ Grey Label (John Cover) Lilac Label (Roger Cover) Silver Injected Label (Group Cover)
I also know that a Black Parlophone Label is out there with Group Cover.
Any input?

Yeah, i'm sure that's correct for the release single... ..but, with the hanging window display thing then one of the two copies i have (the 1st copy i found, that's significantly fallen apart) matches the standard release other than duplicating Andy's purple one for Roger...
...whilst the other (the 2nd NM copy) uses the first version of the standard labels (black w. silver writing) for all 5.
So, in terms of the 1st copy i bought, it seems reasonably likely that Roger's was a mistake or something... ...however the 2nd one suggests that it wouldn't be wrong to at least find copies that originated from the display with the standard labels - though that clearly doesn't mean that any of the release ones did.

My window display had three Andy's purple labelled vinyls. I always thought that it was just a mistake.

How weird... i wonder if this means that the we could reasonably assume that the likelihood is that they were put together from a couple of different packages of vinyl - one the standard release & one with at least 4 of the 5 proper vinyl?
(just kind of thinking about the likelihood of our 3 sets containing a set that's the standard release & then the other 2 sets not having any of the standard release if it was completely random - when there wouldn't have been millions of the displays made)
Yeah, admittedly we can't work out any probabilities since we don't know the starting quantities (well, atm i don't even know if any came with the lilac label) - so it's just a thought...
...but i think we can make an educated guess that they must have received the sleeves & a hotchpotch of vinyl separately for making up the displays.

Here's what I've got (hope I didn't mix it all up by myself over the years...):
NR sleeve - magenta labels (3x) RT sleeve - lilac labels (1x) JT sleeve - grey labels (3x) AT sleeve - purple labels (2x) SLB sleeve - blue labels (1x) Band sleeve - silver injected labels
It's interesting, that all 5 colour variants share a bunch of identical matrix numbers. As the limited editions were released in 1984, each at an interval of a week, I guess at least 3 pressing machines were used on one label colour simultaneously. (DURAN 3 A-/B- 1-/2-/3-U) After the initial "limited edition" release series, there must have been a lot of remaining sleeves and records for the displays etc.

i'm in the process of getting all these, waiting on the simon one.
i think one of mine was mixed up, or discogs has some with different color labels, or i got the wrong record.
i think i have the andy one with silver injection ones instead.
will post when i get them all.

Looks like there is another copy for sale, so I will try to get that one instead.
Now I have 4/5 with one duplicate (although the labels are different).
