Snubbed, by a modern audience. In a few years, nobody will remember DD except for us.

Strange list. A lot of average players from iconic bands picked because the band was cool. So many names missing, but off the top of my head JT Guy Pratt Mark King Peter Cetera (his bass work with chicago is incredible) Is that right??!? Peter Cetera was bassist for Chicago as well? Didnt kknow that - will have to revisit Chicago songs and listen (renewed interest)

And playing bass and being lead singer (chicago shared that in the first few albums ) is notoriously hard And this is a more bass orientated number

Learn something new everyday

Learn something new everyday They were a very different band to that ballad heavy late 70s stars until Terry Kath died and Cetera left. I enjoy their earlier stuff, I think the horns are what made me enjoy DDs Notorious era stuff so much

I’ve heard of 11 of those bands. It seems to mostly lean toward new metal and pop punk bands and ones who came after those genres.

The list of the greatest bassists you’ve never considered! No JT, no Mark King, no Tony Levin… Tony Levin is #56
