Also loved the fact that they stuck New Religion on the B side Coz once Arena was released, I owned two official live NR versions Never knew B side was NR in US - In the UK the B side was “Make Me Smile (Come Up and See Me)" (live)

Maybe Australia got that instead. The live version of New Religion was made available on the 2CD+DVD release of 7&RT.

Yet my 12 inch featured both CU&SM & New Religion on its b side coulda been a second US release which Australia got as you say having said that this second release would have had to be released early enough, why back then I was buying them on the first day of release, it was a mission thing on the bus 🚌 or tram 🚃 & a trip into the city did it

The UK version had the single version of The Reflex and Make Me Smile on the B side.

I have the picture disc with the embossed sleeve. Unfortunately the sleeve is made of a plastic that over time degrades and can damage the disc.

Yes you need to house the disc separately in and anti-static rice paper sleeve, then put them both in an archival clear record sleeve, problaly 13". try bags unlimited for all your archival record supplies

I really wish DD would reunite with Russell for a video. I think he would have done a great job with Black Moonlight. I had high hopes for Jonas but it looked and felt cheap and rushed. Also Anniversary, Russell would have made that epic.

The Reflex and Wild Boys are the only songs I skip regularly - never really bought into them and Wild Boys especially seemed a bit formulaic for me - even at the time.
The Video for Reflex did bring the band to more fans undoubtedly, though the 'waterfall' bit is funny these days - how technology moves on
The WB video detracted imo from a weak song - When i see WB live back in the day its a hard one to frame without the backing video imo

The 12” I have of the reflex is a charity shop (thrift store) purchase from a few years back. To think it’s spent nearly 40 years in its original sleeve makes me shudder.
