Some of the drama was so stupid..it was funny. Granted, some of it was a hoot!

Wych, I love you so much I will take you on a cruise. IF I can go!! I don't know if I'll be able to take days off in February since I'm going to London in march! I wanna go, tho.

I went there nearly a year after it went online. It was flipping great up until 2003 I agree. Drama started escalating the alts the trolls the stoopid bs that went on there most of the time. Definitely didn't recognize a lot of people after I took a sabbatical from that place.
Also anyone else remember/agree that the drama didn't start getting really out of hand until the stuff with electric duranie started?

The best friendships I made on the board were the ones where we got to meet offline. I think there are only a couple that would say are good online-only friends. Lots of nice people overall... all of the alts got annoying after a while though.

I don't think I even knew what a message board was in 2000! I was on a million Yahoo groups though, and made a few friends that way - including one I might grudgingly admit is now one of my bestest friends I used to visit DD.com, and at some point registered at the board, maybe around 2002. I had to re-register a bit later cos I forgot my details, and eventually started posting after I finished my post grad degree in summer 2004... I wish I had got savvy and joined sooner - you guys always talk about the early days with such fondness (rose-tinted or not!)

With the board closing it made me think about a lot of names that were there long ago but aren't around now. Kian was one of them. What ever happened to her?

Kian is still out there, but I think she might have cut all Duran ties.
