I hope it's someone good, but I doubt it. Most of their openers have sucked. I did like the Pursuit of Happiness (whom I knew of before the show) who did the Big Thing tour in 1989. REM has two great openers this tour: The National and Modest Mouse. I wish DD could get a band or two half as decent.

James was another good one; they opened the January 1994 show in Auburn Hills, MI and did mostly stuff off 'Laid'.
