Yeah, I've been regressing lately. After listening to The Killers, White Stripes and Buckcherry for a quite some time, I dug out my Judas Priest Painkiller CD. I listened to that and a bunch of other old metal from the early '90s and I regressed even further. I just drove home with Michael Jackson's Thriller blasting out of my speakers.

I've rediscovered Ian Dury and the Blockheads, a great band from the late 70's/early 80's. Ian Dury was an amazing lyricist, and did a lot to further the cause of the disabled at a time when able bodied people had no problem calling the disabled 'spastics'. He was a polio victim.
Check out the album 'New Boots and Panties!', from 1978. Norman Watt-Roy and Dylan Howe are a stunningly tight rhythm section.

I hadn't listened to INXS for years, but I put on a cd and rocked out the other day. I used to love them.

I have been listening to Heart. Yeah, they got a bit commercial in the 80's, but their 70's work is pretty good.

ABC! Can't wait for their new album - will definitely buy iy!
I have been listening also lately to Canadian bands (that you may have heard of) - The Spoons, National Velvet.
But I have bought no albums in the past 10-12 years aside from Duran Duran and the Power Station - no band/singer out there has motivated me to buy something other than this...

Listening to Dangerous Toys right now. Jason McMaster has a new band called Broken Teeth, or Broken Tooth. I'm thinking I might check them out.
