Okay, so I'm going to apologise to any Duran board purists out there that might say what I'm about to type should go on here, but, hey... more people read here than anywhere else.
I added something to the "Roots" thread earlier today, and at the end of last line I went to make a joke about 911 Is A Joke, so to set things up I wrote the following word in brackets beforehand:
S-N-I-G-G-E-R
However, when it posted, it read
S---B-L-A-C-K-P-E-R-S-O-N---S
Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not a huge fan of the N word myself, and I'm glad we can all visit a place without fear of it getting used. But, seriously, what kind of a world do we live in where an internet company imposes a rule that over-rides all language to the extent where a word that mean a kind of laugh is actually censored for containing the same letters as a racial slur?
For the money, I was confused, and then panicked myself, because having intended to write what I did (i.e. laughter) I ended up posting something that skewed black person into an innocent comment I was making about a hip-hop track.
(If you don't believe me, go check it out yourself... if you can be bothered)
Bloody ridiculous, if you ask me, and censorship getting out of hand.
Leave the English language alone Proboards!!!

Sorry, having thought a little more about this, I'd like Mark to ban all reference to New Moon On Monday, given that Moon rhymes with an old English slang word from a Black person.
For that matter, lets also avoid referencing June, croon, balloons, hogs, and liggers, and bigger.

I Believe the word you were looking for, there, was "Snicker", if you were referring to describe a laughter.

I had this problem on another board, not much can be done about it.

OK, I took the 'N' word out of the filter list. Hopefully it will never get used here. Snigger away

Or rather, my binary friend, "s-n-i-g-g-e-r" is a tried and tested British word, and not even slang; whereas, and indeed, vice versa, "snicker" is an Americanism that us Brits don't use.

I'm glad to hear that! Words like that -- taken in the connotation they were created for, don't belong ANYWHERE!
