I'm all for making this law stricter. If I had a say, the minimum age for driving in the US would also be raised to 18 like it is in many other countries. Who on earth came up with the preposterous idea to let 16-year-olds drive cars? It's asking for disaster.

I'm for it not that some people take any notice of it.
They're now talking of making headsets illegal here b/c some moron was chatting using hands free whilst driving a lorry, hit a car and killed two or three people.

I'm for it. If I have to talk I pull over. Before cell phones you had to stop and find a phone. In an extreme emergency (like I gotta damn lunatic after me) yes I would use the phone while driving.

I'm all for it. People ae always running stop signs here in my quiet neighborhood because they're too busy yakking on the phone to pay attention.

here in New York its the law but the law never means any thing any way. I see people ALL the time on their cell phones even the cops.

I support the law but have little hope that it will make a difference since it's a secondary offense and, therefore, one can only be stopped for a different reason. I also don't think that talking hands-free is less distracting, especially when the driver is drinking their Starbucks, scrolling through their iPods and smoking a cig.

I have seen a woman miss stopping at a stop sign while driving and phoning.
I'm with rio duranie...it's chronic.
I like my drive to be phone free - it's me time.

100% in favor, how difficult is it to drive using a hands free set?(it isn't). Plus, what did people do before cell phones? That's right, they drove home to use a land line.
