I love to watch the award shows... I like to see the beautiful clothes. I hope none of the celebrities climb up on their soapboxes. PLEASE - like they have any idea what is going on in the real world!

Award shows usually bore me and I skip them but this one has been pretty funny...esp. with all the Brits winning!!
Warren Beatty...why?? Why do people like him? Why do women find him attractive? I just don't get it.

why people like him? cuz he is unique, and funny and so smart, and what he directed, and what I saw him acting, is just great.
about women liking him, I don't know, but I understand that more than all these girls liking so much Justin Timberlake. also I don't understand how can Beyonce like so much Jay Z. so Warren to me is much more logical choice.

I am so out of the loop on movies and TV shows, but it seems that this was a good year for movies, based on the noms.
It certainly was Helen Mirren's night.
The only "look" that struck me was Cameron Diaz with black hair. I HATED her dress, she looks better as a blonde, and I'm wondering if she did it for a role.

Award-wise, there were no real surprises, were there. i suppose I knew it was close between The Departed and Babel for Drama, but Babel would CERTAINLY win with the foreign press.
Why would the foreign press care about mobs in Boston over the multi-cultural Babel?
Kinda dull surprise-wise...
I still say CARS was NOT the best animated film this year!!! It was good, but there was Over the Hedge and Monster House that were better.

schmacko...Monster House was certainly my pick for best animated film. Making a house "come alive," the story line, etc.

I agree - the other film I loved - Over the Hedge - had a soicla point and had that awesome moment when the squirrel drank the energy drink!
I won't spoil it for the people who haven't seen it.
EDIT - LMAO _ Carina - how'd you get negative 53 karma points!?!?! That is fantastic!
