You know, watching this again, it makes me laugh a bit. Listen to the CONSTANT din of screaming in the background. Now, we scream when they come out and shut up to listen unless someone does something funny or sexy or well, all sorts of reasons, but it is not a "wall of sound" like it was back then. It is nice to be able to hear them!

I agree totally ... it was ONE constant sound wave. The guys have often commented they could have come out and sang ANYTHING and no one would have heard it.

But that's why a great soundboard recording like Oakland or either MSG night is so great! You can hear all the music perfectly, yet the crowd is a constant presence in the background, and between songs, you can literally feel the energy coming off the crowd! For those of us like me who missed out on that tour (didn't get to see 'em until summer 1987), it's the next best thing!
