Frankly, I'm just thrilled there's something COMING ... I don't care when as long as THEY are happy with it. I agree with you partially. I'm just thrilled there's something coming. But to say as long as THEY are happy with it, I don't agree with you. DD were happy with RCM before releasing it. Then, many were disappointed the first time Nite Runner was leaked out. In interviews later on, the guys seemed not very happy with RCM after all. Yeah, I hope DD are happy with the new album, but stay grounded and have a much more realistic outlook about it, then they did about RCM. RCM is such rubbish! I'm looking forward to the new stuff!

they were obviously not happy with the sales, but they really did like it. . I'm not sure which interview you are referring to? I know it's not their greatest record by any stretch, but IMHO is not "rubbish".

there is a difference between wat they say when the record is released and what their honest opinion is. like one of them said once long ago, don't believe everything you read in the papers. a lot of lying goes into promoting a product.

Exactly. John has definitely expressed a few misgivings about RCM in retrospect. Either he really dug the album at the time and has since changed his mind, or he was in promo mode and saying what he could to help sales. It's part of the job.
