Tonight this UK promo of the Notorious album was delivered. It is the regular album without any stamp, sticker or notification that it's a promo. So i think this used to be wrapped in the black silk cellophane with a sticker mentioning only 'NOTORIOUS THE ALBUM'. Luckily the black folder with interview, bio and discography plus two promo photographs.
Perhaps one day i might find a sealed one, but for now this will do. ;-)

Hi Peter,
you're right, the promo or press kit is complete with the regular album in (very thin) black shrink wrap with the "Notorious The Album" sticker on top, and additionally, the black folder as you've got. If you'll find a sealed one, maybe it will have more content, but then you won't know until you unseal it ;-)
Cheers, G.

How sweet: Today my daughter (15) came home from her holiday in Italy and she brought me 2 presents...I had no clue what she could've bought me from Italy and expected some tacky souvenirs. She told me to close my eyes and handed me the Italian pressings LP's of Arena and Liberty......how cool is THAT? VERYProud and happy Dad

What a great present and idea If you have a closer look at the Arena matrix numbers, what is the date-of-lacquer cutting? I found, that Italian 1st pressings usually have a △I in the runouts. If more lacquers, e.g. for higher production rates or re-releases were needed, a △II or △III shows up, but then with a new date-of-production. For Arena, I found these dates so far: 4-10-84, 25-10-84 and 9-11-84 As Arena officially was re-released in Italy in the late 80s, it's possible to find later dates...

That indeed is very sweet Pierre! Very cool.
And DaFunk, thanks a lot for this bit of info! Will check again my Italian pressings and add the info to my database. Thanks!
