...however i guess you can imagine why i might have picked up this hotchpotch of LDs from Japan - View AttachmentYeah, whilst it's rare, £200 for the copy that was on eBay (that was missing the Obi) was far more than it was worth to me - but this lot was a little more reasonable... ...&, if i'm very lucky, there will be a sticker sheet in Arena - as i've only got one copy of it where, afaik, both Obi versions came with it originally.
Well, having had to open the latest box relatively quickly, as the packaging is always huge & i've noticed that the one from a couple of months back that was coming by sea has just cleared customs, that lot of LDs was a really good buy in the end.
Well, TPS was in a lovely condition...
...DOTV turned out to be a condition upgrade...
...Arena had the sticker sheet as i'd hoped...
...&, whilst i had a copy of Encomium on the way already, this copy looks nice - am i correct in thinking that it didn't come with an insert btw, as i've not seen a copy with one?
No idea what to do with the other ones - & since i never get around to sorting out any of the duplicate Duran stuff that's here to sell on then i guess i've started an new collection of random Japanese LDs. *sigh*
Something i hadn't realised before about the Arena sticker sheets though is that the bottom right corner is a scratch off thing - i assume (as i've not looked at translating) for some kind of competition.
So a quick search & there's at least 2 different bit of text that could be underneath - so i guess that means keeping a weather eye out for both the alt as a scratched off version (both of mine are the same) & an unscratched off one...
...& there was me thinking i just still needed to find MOA to complete the Japanese LD bit of the collection.
Yeah, otherwise a box of mostly filling in gaps & upgrades - inc another copy of the 1st album with poster that's in a nicer condition than the one i bought from eil...
(not that i wasn't really pleased to get the one from eil - & it was listed as having a bit of foxing on the back of the poster - so knew what i was buying there)
...a couple of cool extras that i've previously mentioned...
...& the only bit of disappointment was that the purple book has a sun faded edge - though it was really cheap & better a copy than no copy.

I have never seen or heard about this format before, but I have added my first U matic tape to my collection today Promo Cassette from Capitol Records - include video of: Decade 0:30 TV Spot Burning the Ground 4:00 The cassette are huge compared to a VHS cassette (The Violence of Summer and Serious Video was also released on U matic tapes) U-Matic (aka 3/4" tape) was an old, broadcast quality standard. It was eventually supplanted by Beta-SP and later Digi-Beta.

Waiting for some things recently purchased: Jigsaw puzzle and new 2020 metal badge (2) from Crewe Issue. Funk Face - Shine 12" 56K feat. Bejay - Save a Prayer 12" Freebass - Oxegen 10" And just received: Sealed RSD Thanksgiving show vinyl DD fan club/VIP inkpen w/ logo a better copy of the Caravan Tour poster programme US IDWYL promo CD single (I Want Your Love written on CD) So of the 4 things I was waiting for, 3 of them arrived damaged. The puzzle from Crewe was a bit bashed in on one corner and had a tiny bit of damage to the upper front edge. Also, they shipped keychains instead of pins, so they will be correcting that. They seem to be very accomodating and friendly right now. I am looking forward to a new shipment. Hopefully this one will be OK. Also, the SAP 12" and Shine 12" came from the same Discogs seller and they actually charged me an extra pound for a piece of cardboard to make the mailer stronger, but did not tell me it would be coming in a flimsy papercard envelope. I assumed it would be in a stiff record mailer and the extra cardboard would just be a protective measure. I just sent a message, so I will see what happens and see if PayPal can help, if nothing else. I also just ordered a sealed Neurotic Outsiders CD. I have the album, but not a sealed copy. It was sort of an add on item. I was able to get it with free shipping because I already ordered a cassette promo for the Wedding Album. The one with all the photo booth pics on the cover. Also ordered the Freebass Love is Like Oxygen CD maxi with remixes. All items for decent prices.

Finally found a copy of the Japanese Seven And The Ragged Tiger lp with the calendar booklet, really happy with this one Wow, never seen this before! Cat nr? Not that it matters hugely, but i'm sure that i posted when i picked a copy up some time back... (it might be a year or more - no sense of when anything happened) ...&, from recollection, as with the Japanese vinyl with sticker sheets, there's nothing on the obi to differentiate.
Otherwise, as an addition for myself, have just sorted out a mutually agreeable price for that interference lot - Tbh i was mostly after the postcards - as, from the interesting stuff, that now makes 4 folders, 3 info sheets, 5 Polaroids & one Polaroid flyer in the collection... (not sure why almost every copy that's come up is missing the flyer?)
...albeit that the "Private View" Polaroid in this lot was from the preview viewing so perhaps a bit different. Yeah, so whilst it'd be nice to find a mint copy of the white shirt, i 'think' it's just an unsigned version of the poster i need to locate still - as i've got nice copies of both the HB & PB books, the signed poster, badge, & black (mint) & white (decent but worn) shirts.
