"Politics is show business for ugly people" "So this is how liberty dies, with thunderous applause. Goodbye Democracy, it's time for Socialism." "The problem with Socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money." "If you're going to pretend you live on a different planet from the rest of us, we'd appreciate it if you'd stop breathing our air and eating our food." "Comic Clock Funk Mutt Yo" "The onion in the cake tastes mighty fine!"
Sorry, that was my fault as i obviously wasn't clear... The thing was that it was a bit of a pig in a poke - as i simply have no idea what it's worth... ...so it could have been expensive if it were a fiver or cheap at £100.
Yeah, normally i have a reasonable idea either way, but i've no clue whatsoever here.
- where, whilst the poster's not exactly rare as it's the same as the folded version that came with the LP naturally - the main addition is the large release info sticker; where it's certainly not the only copy that i've seen with one added from being used in a record store in real time.
Yeah, not particularly expensive - esp as it came with 4 other posters... ...so along with another duplicate AT one from 87 - i just need to find someone who wants to pay good money for either a Whitney, Charlie Sexton or Wham poster.
FFS - proboards will not allow r-e-m-a-s-t-e-r or r-e-m-a-s-t-e-r-e-d as words (without dashes).
Clearly i'm not up to speed with all of the well known curse words - so i'm sorry that this post willl shock the innocent & unwary.
A nice find there.
So, just to add info, i am as certain as i can be that this will be the US promo VHS for the Rio r-e-m-a-s-t-e-r, as i picked up an equivalent UK EMi one track for the collection, which has HLTW on instead, around the time.
Yeah, the UK tape makes it much clearer what it's for; with the white label on that reading -
"Hungry Like The Wolf"
From the upcoming
r-e-m-a-s-t-e-r-e-d release of RIO
- whilst, as an aside, the original UK Rio promo VHS that i have has "Millaney Grant Mallet Mulcahy" labels - though the spine label had a Manchester Square/EMi Promotion Dept one stuck over the top.
Not certain about your one, but mine doesn't have a spine label - so also has a cut out box; albeit that it has an open end, rather than an open side.
