Just out of curiosity does anyone know exactly how many were actually pressed and out there? Also like to know how many members in here got one. I own a US Duran Goes Dutch

Dunno what the exact pressing figure was, but I bought mine at the time it came out at a record fair for a very, very low price! Add to that it was still sealed!

considering it was released in the usa, i'd bet there was thousands of them made. when it first came out it was easy to get for 10-20 dollars. it took a few years to get up around the hundred dollar mark. these days, you can find them for 25 dollars or so.

I have @ least 1 copy, but to be honest, it is put away and I haven't seen it in years. LOL! I do need to get out some stuff and do a proper inventory again. No idea what version I have. I know there are a couple different ones @ least. What's the official tally? Anyone? I know there was a difference in the background colour on the bottom half.

I bought mine for about 10 USD on Ebay. But it's an interesting question: How limited is limited?
How many copies were made of the numbered 10" of DYBIS? and Andy's numbered Stone Cold Sober 12"? How limited were these releases actually? With the RCM LP we know that 2.000 were pressed but these other's...
My 10" of DYBIS? has number 4.196, my copy of Stone Cold Sober has number 7.527 (not very limited I guess ;D, I don't even think he sold that many singles!!!).

Got mine for $4.99 back in '87 at the local Harmony House...it was just sitting there, in shrinkwrap, in the Duran section, priced the same as a standard US 12" single. I have a feeling they didn't know what they had on their hands, as being a big chain store, they were not in the habit of selling promo item!

First time I saw it was 1989 in Tarpon Springs, Fl. Guy at this crappy store originally said he'd sell it to me for $30 then talked to someone else and the price kept going up. I was pissed and became determined to find it. I think I got it a year or so later from Record Runner in NYC for somewhere between $30 and $50 -- can't remember exactly.

I got it when it first came out, but I really don't remember how much it was. Although I don't think I paid a premium for it--just regular LP price. There was also that Master Mixes double LP...

i think DYBIS 10'' was 5000 (mine is 4780) but I sill maintain the unnumbered version is rarer given the very small number of DYBIS singles sold!!
Duran Goes Dutch - i think i have generally paid no more than £25 when i have owned it, (i have bought and sold it several times). I dont think its ever been a mega rarity, due to the reasonable number of them around.
