You may be right, but this is not the 80's and this is not Billboard...none the less, this is already selling much much better than RCM....and also I may add, there are already news about how well DD is selling the new album...which I wasn't expecting today at all.... I think the physical release will do much better to non duran fans than any other record in last 2 decades..... It's a matter of investing in advertisement a little bit more from now on....but the main thing has been done....(making a real Duran Duran record). According to compiled data, RCM sold 29,000 cds in its first week and made its US debut at #36. It fell out of the Top 100 completely by its second week. I have no data for downloaded copies of RCM, but it's reasonable to assume that without a physical cd being available of the new album, more people would download AYNIN than would have downloaded RCM...this had 3 simultaneous releases of which two included cds (iTunes, regular cd, deluxe edition). I don't want to be a pessimist either, but at the same time, let's not get ahead of ourselves. RCM has sold just over 100,000 copies in the US (14K digital). It did 30,000 or so first week, of which 5,000 were digital. Cheers
