Anyone have this yet? I keep losing on ebay. If anyone here who has this would be willing to PM me with a FLAC version of this, I'll gladly PM back with a reasonable request! Duran or anything. (almost anything)

It beats me how people will pay for promos with no artwork or any kind of authenticity. In the old days at least a vinyl promo could be identified by the number on the matrix or the promo label. On things like this Duran Duran fans need to take a step back and think about how much they are lining someone's pocket. If it goes to the band fair enough, but do not under any circumstances paid for garbage like this. I did once and never again.

The only cdr promo I bought before the release of AYIN was the UK remix promo cd of Falling Down.
The reason I bought the cdr promo's of Girl Panic! and Leave A Light on is that it's the only way to get these songs on cd single. As a collector I aim to get a cd single from each song that is released as a single, if the song isn't commercially released I look for promo's (like with the UK Breath After Breath cds).
As Falling Down will probably be the last DD single to be actually released on the cd single format I have to look to promo's for the AYNIN singles. And apart from AYNIN itself there haven't been factory pressed promo's for GP! and LALO so the cdrs are the only ones to get.
Of course there's always the chance that what you're buying isn't genuine (I suspect that my copy of GP! could be homemade). But at least both are single edits so they do offer another version of the songs. But it's a choice you have to make.
I do have to say that I will only buy cdr promo's for singles, things like the cdr promo's for the recent re-issues I will never buy because they don't offer anything new and I always doubt if those are real. I also wait a while before I start bidding on a cdr promo, prices usually fall after some time.

that one is a promo as well...not stock. >>Of course there's always the chance that what you're buying isn't genuine (I suspect that my copy of GP! could be homemade) man, this is so hard to come to grips with. if you go to peter's link, you can see something that could easily have been made with cdrs and a printer that can print on a cdr. it's depressing!! things like that just made me stop buying any cd that isn't a proper stock release. i guess a real label promo could have a matrix number or some way to tell it was genuine but unless you have access to record company info, you'd never know.

what i meant was that this particular german Girl Panic is also factory pressed, just like the US and Belgium/Dutch promo of AYNIN.
:-)

I think the exclamation mark on "For promotion only!" is very suspect for this promo...
