yeah, but obviously the seller is a Duran Duran fan - which is kinda obvious by their seller name of room7609 and some of the stuff they're selling - hence they started out with such an extremely high price. They're probably figuring that they'll rake in at least the same amount as what this one went for, especially since it was 'just listed'.

redmumba, you do realize that by posting links to rare auctions here, you're likely driving the price up by double or more?
In this case, the winning bid would have only been $19.22 if it hadn't been for the next high bidder placing more than a dozen bids ranging from $75.56 to $225.56 in the last 2 hours of the auction.....

redmumba, you do realize that by posting links to rare auctions here, you're likely driving the price up by double or more? and? Sorry, but I'm not the only one who has posted in this thread I started. What someone finds of interest (i.e. collectable) may not be the same to someone else - hence the title "items of interest". Being that those of us who post here are collectors in more way than one, I'm inclined to believe that we'd all like to know what's out there - an item that one of us may not have. As for someone like myself that does sell stuff on Ebay, the influx of interest and traffic on an item is what it's all about. Ebay is not the only venue to find items, it's just the most known one as I'm sure we all have our other outlets that we score on.

Fair points, most to the benefit of the sellers or well-heeled collector, but I do think that the people that are most inclined to bid in these auctions would perhaps prefer less attention being focused on their efforts... I noticed that the bidder with a feedback score of 547 was responsible for bidding up both the White Lines promo and the Girls On Film green vinyl by $200 each

I am also not to charmed about the attention these items get.

Guys, it's like this - not everyone who bids on these items belong to this board, so just because I post something here doesn't equate to the price going up. There are other boards where I'm sure word gets around about items. Also, as I stated before, these are items of interest - items that I feel are worthy of being mentioned. I see other stuff on Ebay but I either have it or don't feel that it warrants my attention.
